Floor jack recommendations

Can anyone recommend a good floor jack I can use for my F96? Thanks.

It has curb weight of 2.4 ton. You left a bit more than half the weight at once, so I would say a 2 ton jack will be minimal, I would get 3 ton. Car clearance is high, so no need to get low profile jet. Not much requirement. Anything 3 ton should work, home depot, oreily, harbor freight, costco ... remember, you should never just use jack to support he car, you lift the car, put jack stand under.

Big fan and highly recommend AC Hydraulic DK20 and splurge and get the padded jack pad while at it. My only issue is the wheels on these...stupid O ring on the wheel.

Otherwise, a Harbor Freight Super Duty Jack is great

I've been using these for years, love them.. .

I also have a couple of floor hydraulic jacks. I place one floor jack under the rear passenger or drivers jack point, lift high enough to get the front jack point a couple of inches higher but still with the tire on the ground, slide this jack stand under the front jack point and then let the floor jack down and remove it. I then jack up the jack stand till I can get the second jack stand under the rear jack point. Then I simply lift both front and back high enough to get the tires off the car.
Depends on why you're jacking up the car but that's how I do it for tire rotation, wheel cleaning, etc. I also use them when changing the engine oil.

What pads do you use for this style jack? I feel like this style top could slip off the typical puck style jack pad.

Hockey puck?
If you are reasonably careful putting Jack stand at the right place, and chock the car, it is highly unlikely the car will slip. The top of this Jack/stand is not much different from normal Jack stand

I use a gym floor mat. It’s a very tough black rubber mat about 3/8” thick that I cut to fit the size of the jack points. Works great.

Where do you place the jack stand with the floor jack occupying the jacking point? I’m guessing as close to the jacking point as possible so that you can ensure the stand can take the load if the floor jack should fail. Your thoughts?

There is a flat spot under the center of the front end where a floor jack can lift the front end up so jack stands can be placed under the front lifting pads. In the rear, place floor jack pad under the rear differential housing and lift.

I think this thread is good for showing the two jacking points that leave the four side jacking points free to slide jack stands under. In my case, I only need to lift the front of the car about an inch or so and my hydraulic jack stands slide under the side jacking points. It's quick and works great. Same goes for the rear.
