Dude no way lol

My project finishes mid february and I was planning on taking a week or so off to go down to PCD Maybe we'll run into each other

My route is a bit longer though, I'm driving to SC, then driving back through GA-AL-MS-TN. Want to knock off a few more states.

If you're into that sort of stuff though, on your route-ish Dayton OH has the USAF museum which I'm planning to visit, looks like a super cool place.

That's awesome! I'll let you know what dates I end up finalizing. Hoping to hear back from PCD by tomorrow. USAF museum sounds like a lot of fun but Dayton might be too far out of the way.

Your trip sounds amazing... if I had more time I'd definitely check out a bunch of states.... but you know... wife and kids at home not wanting me to be gone too long

Speaking of, text exchange between me and my sales guy recently regarding alternare dates since I'm having difficulty making the 19th of January work...

Why not just stick to beautiful I-40 and gas station Subways? Get a double-meat BMT if you really want to make it special.

Skip Knoxville and come on to Lexington. Spend a day touring horse farms and distilleries.

HMU if you come through here.

I've lived in Knoxville - went to college in Knoxville. Spent the night in Knoxville on the way back from PCD. hahahahahaaa.... because -family.

Drive back through the Cherokee Ntnl Forest - do the dragon if you must (not a weekend! haha).

Go through Knoxville on your way to Lexington... or dip south and do Chattanooga museums and foodie places... Either way. Unless you want to see the UTK campus, I would look for other places to stop and "visit".

No love for Knoxville.... point taken

Perhaps instead of spending 3 nights in Greenville, on the last night I'll drive up to Asheville and spend it there. Then the following day drive through Knoxville all the way up to Lexington and Louisville.

I like Knoxville, but if you're just visiting for a day, Chattanooga is right next door and has a lot more to offer in terms of tourist attractions.

Chattanooga is a cool little city. It seemingly would extend your trip but Nashville is a lot of fun to drop through and visit.

Nice! I'll be flying in on Feb 8th, and probably leaving on the 10th.

What's your reasoning for Greenville? Flying into GSP or the downtown airport?

Of my M3. My X7 I just did local delivery here in Chicago last September. My wife doesn't understand why we'd go pick up the car all the way in SC when we could just have it delivered close to home But I pushed the issue for the M3.

PCD for my M3. Probably flying in to GSP. I wasn't aware there was a downtown airport as well.

Has anyone checked out the Muhammad Ali Center and Louisville Slugger Museums? I'm definitely interested in the Ali Center, but undecided on the Slugger Museum as I'm not much of a baseball fan.

There is not much of a distance between the two. GSP is about 3 miles from the performance center. The downtown airport is a local commuter and business airport. I try to use it when I do charter flights.

There is also the BMW CCA and museum right there by the PC as well as the Zentrum. I work at the Site Operations Center, which is on the same campus as the plant but we are our own building.

The BMW CCA museum is great and currently has the 50 years of M exhibit but that closes Jan 20th I think so you'll miss it. I'm sure there will cars there to see, just not all the M cars they've had.

Ugh I was originally scheduled for Jan 19th - that would have been perfect timing. Oh well... I'll still plan to check out the CCA museum.

I wonder if the weather will be ok enough to go on a hike. The morning of the 10th I can see potentially being an opportunity to go on a hike on a nearby trail.

I did PCD a few months back and my brother and I stopped at Biltmore on the way down. We had a drink and lunch in the courtyard before the tour and it was very cool. When you are leaving you drive right in front of the house and you can hop out for a picture. That was my plan until BMW threw a stop sale my way and I had to leave my car in Spartanburg.
