Hi all,

There's a strange rattling sound coming from what I think is the rear center console of my 2023 X5M. It's been going on for a month or two and I notice it only when driving above 25-30mph.

I'm planning on taking it to the dealer to have it looked at and fixed, but unfortunately it'll probably be a half-day affair and take up a lot of time.

Was wondering if anybody else here has encountered this, and if so, what the 1) cause, as well as the 2) fix/solution was?

I had something similar. It resolved itself after opening / closing the tailgate...

I had the same issue and found out it came from cargo trunk cover. It loose and not fit tightly both left and right holder. Could check from there. Good luck.

That explains why mine got resolved by opening / closing the tailgate...
