The only issue I have is lack of cornering lights. I hope that if I upgrade to the latest software version that it will activate my cornering lights. Can anyone confirm that this is the case? Thank you.

Yes, the activation of the cornering lights was put into an 03/2019.xx version.

Mine is going in tomorrow for updated firmware and to address two campaigns. No recalls on my vehicle, which are related to safety issues.

Software updated to 07/2019.53 yesterday. I do not have Caring Car, Experience Modes or Display Assisted Driving View when Driving Assistant is Active.

Contacted the Genius hotline, tried to update the apps to no avail. Back to service department in next couple of weeks to get them installed.

I went in on Monday to have the update installed however the apps didn’t show up til the following day.

I know what Caring Car is, but not familiar with Experience Modes? Are both of these found in the APPs section of the screen? I don't seem to have these yet despite the software upgrade yesterday to 07/2019.53.

My car was still running a november software until the upgrade yesterday. The upgrade did result in my cornering lights now working.

My X5 was built in February and still has the original software. How do I check what version I have?

Just figured it out, it's. 11/2018.55.

They cannot be installed by the dealer since they are pushed out during an Apps and Services update. Hopefully they show up shortly although you never know since we have not seen a pattern as to when they are pushed out.

I have .53 and didn’t get the new apps until the next morning. I didn’t need to do anything to get them either they updated themselves.

Caring Car and Experience Modes, I am told, would be found under the Car Icon. Personal Assistant would be found under Apps.

thats what I was thinking, but the Hotline Genius guy, had me do the update app software and iDrive reboot and it didn't work. then he told me the service department will have to work with BMW to load them.

I guess it won't hurt for them to try.

The Genius was wrong. Update the Apps and Services will not install those apps. They need to be pushed out by BMW and the dealer in not capable of getting them.

Agreed, mine was sorted in a couple of hours. I left them the car overnight but I had a report it had been updated almost immediately. I don't think it /needs/ that long to do the update really.
