Instrument Display Brightness
I picked up my new car last week and all going well however, I find the instruments display a bit dull but can't seem to adjust the brightness.
The adjustment wheel next to the light switches does nothing and the night display settings also do nothing. Any suggestions welcome. |

I agree that is seems weird that the dial doesn’t adjust the brightness during the day. It is also strange that you have a separate night display brightness setting in the menus for the main display but not a daytime adjustment. Our 2010 idrive 335 system had adjustments for both day and night. Odd.

The sensor is in the left side of the dash LCD - if you turn on the torch on your phone - and point it to the left side of the dash, it should artificially brighten - at least you know the culprit. |
