It took two calls to the BMW CONNECTED team to get Spotify App to reappear, apparently it is a known issue with the latest connected drive app. Hopefully it will stay in the menu. Will post some pics when I can work out how...

Yes I'm using an Android device but works the same with ios if you don't want to use Car Play. Set up is the same as o365 when you first log in it presents you with a QR Code to scan which then logs you into your Spotify account

Does Spotify appear in your Phone Connected Drive App?

No it is not showing in the connected drive app although talking to the connected drive team they said it should show there but there is an issue with third party apps showing in the Hub section of the app. Yesterday they pushed a refresh to my car which didn't work. I could see Spotify in the "Personalise Menu" section but no app. Today they said they would flag my vehicle as having this issue with the team trying to sort it. About 5 hours later the app appeared. I have done about 4 trips in the car since and each time the app has been present and working.

I had 11/2018.57 before so I'm not sure when Spotify was introduced. Best to speak to the connected drive team.

Interesting. I got .53 today in UK and there's no sign of BMW Experience Apps. I read somewhere they may update overnight, so will update if this happens.

I think it popped up later for a few mates here. I am going to get mine back with .53 version in an hour!

Had the X5 updated to 07/2019.47 and I finally got the features I was missing such as Experience Modes and Caring Car. One thing to point out is that if you had coded the car previously using the BimmerCode App that coding gets erased and the only thing that becomes available is the ability to turn off the Auto Start Stop.

You mean with the software update you can now change the default to off for the auto start stop function?

He is referring to the coding for the auto start/stop not a standard feature.

Give the connected drive team a call and see if they can push them to your vehicle. They were present on mine when I collected from Sytner after the update to .47

Picked up my G05 after the latest update to .53. I reset iDrive but still don't see the Spotify app. Has anyone who has it had to do anything to get it to show up? Thanks!

First thing to check is if you have the capability.

In Media, check the 'Personalise Menu' option or similar. Do you have a checkbox for Spotify?

If yes, then you need to start the Spotify app on your phone, make sure Car view is enabled in the app, then connect to the car via BT.

If Spotify doesnt appear, you can try an Update Apps and Services from the Apps menu. If it still doesnt appear contact the Connected Drive department and ask them to fix it.

Or use CarPlay if thats an option. Assign a shortcut button to CP in Media. It now defaults to last used media app with iOS 13.x e.g. Spotify
