First X5 service 10,000 mile
Just dropped my car off this morning at the dealer to have the 10,000 mile service performed. While it’s there they are going to do the upgrade on the software.
There were several service codes that they were going to try to clear out and fix. These are from the messages you get when you start the car. Which over the last three or four months I’ve had many. The service advisor wrote down the various issues that came up on their computer. She called them recalls. But they are probably just a service advisory corrections. 1. Recall B610919 Checking the signal wire. 2. Recall B611319 service dual storage. 3. Recall B651919 software 4. Recall B662019 replace KAFHS I have no idea what any of these things do. But perhaps some of you have had these service advisories performed on your vehicle. The advisor told me she would call me back today before they closed at 4 PM to let me know how things were going. She indicated that the software update could be tricky and if it failed they could not call anybody till Monday to verify how to fix the failure. |

Dealer called and they had taking care of everything today other than the camera issue. The camera parts have been ordered. For the KAFAS system. They did not want to do the software upload until the camera system has been replaced. So I will take care of that in a couple weeks when They the get the parts in.
