2021 X5 45e (PHEV) Pricing for US and Canada
Hello All:
Does anyone have pricing and ordering guide for 2021 X5 45e. Either, Canada or US would work, as I am trying to figure out if I should go with 45e or jump on a MX. TIA! |

I don't think that's been released yet, but maybe someone knows more here. I was told by my CA that BMW would give info to dealers sometime in March, and not to expect cars before August. He was unclear whether that was builds starting in August, or deliveries starting in August. Either way, that's coming from someone trying to sell me something, so take it with a grain of salt. I'm getting anxious too, it's my first choice for my next car, but I'd really like to know price and release date so I can plan better.

I expect 2021 build information will be out in May. April at the earliest.

I am not sure if anyone noticed but I saw this on BMW USA website today. I don't know how many months before BMW starts advertising a vehicle before launching it.
https://www.bmwusa.com/future-vehicl...in-hybrid.html I hope they bring it sooner than planned... |

Any update on the X5 45e release, particularly in Canada?
We've owned the 1st gen F15 40e and love the technology and drive train. Only lacking part was the limited EV range which this new one seems to address much better. |

Electric range 85 km on paper, 70 km is doable in real life. 6 vs 4 cylinders really makes a big difference. Only question is if the pricing and tax regulations will be competitive enough to chose it above a 40i. Fuel economy alone will not make the difference. |

I don't know about Canada, but my CA here in New York told me they have their first allocation for a 45e build and can place the order within the next week. Can't imagine it would be too much longer after the typical 6-8 weeks after that for delivery if they're accepting orders.

In Europe we have to wait 6 - 12 months ! Part of it due to corona. I ordered mine in beginning of May and got it in end of December. That was before covid19. There is the transport across the Atlantic (1-2 weeks) and in Europe but that doesn't explain the long wait. The availability of HV battery seems to be the problem. |

I thought the conclusion from the assurance and BMW specialists was faul play (set on fire). I hope they don't torch Spartanburg now or my epic wait will become more epic
