Hi all,

I'm looking at a vehicle that has Drive Recorder as an option in the build sheet. Does anyone know if it will still require a subscription or if the cars where it was a purchased option already include the subscription?

And to increase precision, OP is Canadian, so experience is unlikely to be the same as other markets (BMW packages, options, prices, CD facilities, and dealer and local corporate behaviours are consistently unique to each market).

I have it from factory (Belgium) and it worked directly. No extra costs. In CD store the DR option is for unlimited time some others like office 365 end after one year. So in Belgium it is a one time purchase. But that is in Belgium

That's a great example on regionality. For some reasons, North Americans don't deserve Office 365 facilities in their cars at all. Only way I know about it is through reports from European members.

I didn't install it because I don't think it is a good idea to read mails or my agenda on the central screen. So can't command on that.

Fair point, my comment wasn't on utility, just that it doesn't exist at all for North American cars.

Thanks 45e. I’ll assume Canada is similar unless someone has evidence otherwise!
