Front License Plate Bracket
Does anyone have experience with this company or product? I looked at the tow hook option from Cravenspeed and did not like where it was positioned.
https://www.slybrackets.com/store/#!...372/category=0 No front license plate is a $75 fine where I will live and aggressively ticketed in some areas. |

I'm not sure if this will fit the MSport front bumper. The mesh portion between the outer air duct and the radar sensor unit is about 9.5" wide. License plates are about 12" wide. The depth from the mesh grille to be flush with the outer bumper is about 1.5" deep. I think the only way to know if this would work would be to purchase one and try it. If anyone here is heading in that direction, there are probably many of us interested in hearing the outcome!

also here is an email i got from CravenSpeed Team: We found that BMW changed the threads and tow lengths for the 2019 X5, so unfortunately, we are needing to design and manufacture a stud that will fit. We have just begun the process and are anticipating having kits available at the beginning of March, as the process to manufacture the parts is always a bit lengthy when we find we need a new one.

I looked for the no drill option for front license plate. Eventually gave up and went with the standard dealer provided drilled ones. The reasoning was, you are never going to remove the front license plate ever so why bother about the drill to the front bumper?

These were taken before I permenatly mounted the bracket under my front bumper I'm positive they will make one for the G05 X5

If you follow this link:
https://www.slybrackets.com/store/#!...372/category=0 it shows pics of the mount and an installation video. This part is specifically for horizontal slats. Honeycomb grill will take a different part.... currently shown as "sold out" on this suppliers website. BTW I placed the order but it will take me some extended time to get it installed and re-post photos |

Found this tow hook license plate mount on Amazon
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 It fit the tow fitting attachment hole very well and feel pretty solid. It does not block the front right sensor. |

Just tested it again this morning, the front proximity alarm warning comes on when the front end is approaching the garage door. So, YES ! |

Distance from the edge of the front sensor to the center line of the tow hook is about 4" on mine. Edge of my license plate to the edge of the sensor is about 5/8".
It should work if your M Sport bumper sensor and tow hook arrangement is the same or further apart. You can also slide the bracket more to the left. |
