I currently have a X5 M50i in Lime Rock Grey. I really like it, but for my next one (likely the X5 M60i), I’d like something different. Ideally, I’d like to steer clear of the black, white and grey options. I’ve been looking at Sepang Bronze Metallic. I’ve seen a few videos and pictures that look really good, but I’ve never seen the colour in person. The dealerships in my area are extremely unlikely to get something in that colour that I could take a look at. Does anyone have any experience with the colour? Any comments would be appreciated. Go for Malachite Green, I did and I'm so glad I went with this choice. Everyday when I see the car in the sunlight it makes me so happy

That’s what caught my eye with Sepang Bronze Metallic. It seems to look great in the sunlight. Still, without seeing it in person it’s hard to pull the trigger.

Well, the paint looks good in the video, gotta admit. Outside in the sunshine should look much better since it's metallic.

Neither have I, in person. That’s why I was hoping somebody had some experience with it….either having owned the colour, or at least having seen it. I find videos and photographs difficult to go by.

Dealers only ever order black, gray and white for their lot inventory making it very hard to see other colors before buying. I ordered Ametrin Metallic mostly on faith. SA said he had only seen one in person. Got it and loved it. And it's one of very few X5s with that color.

The Sepang Bronze is beautiful in the videos. If you like it, go for it! You will likely never find one in the wild.

^Agree,and the end of the day, you have to be in "love" with the color or it's a non-starter.

I generally don't pay extra for paint, but if it were a free or low cost option, it would be a buy for me.

I'd have gone with the black wheels for that color...

Sepang Bronze was offered on the M coupe/roadster 2006-2008 and also the M5 from that era if you want to search for pics or maybe even a used one in your area. I haven’t seen one in years but remember it was a nice color.

It certainly seems as though the paint looks very different depending on the light. I think it looks very sharp in your pictures, albeit much darker than it appears in the video I posted.

One of my concerns was whether, in person, it appears either gold or a boring brown (neither of which I’m not a fan of). Could I trouble you to comment on that?

Interesting. I’ve seen images on line which indicate that it’s Sepang Bronze, which look identical to yours. What’s the name of your colour?

This was a color on the E60 M5, I believe. I remember seeing a few and wondered who would select it for an M5.... to each their own though. Metallic Poop would be an alternate naming option.
