Do you think that the poor quality of the auxiliary battery (AGM) may be the reason for the vehicle not being updated? The primary battery has 85% charge and according to the tester, the auxiliary battery should be replaced. Can I charge the booster battery without using the connectors under the hood?

Mine updated to 11/2023.50 on Thursday with no issue. I spent some time on Friday redoing all the coding the update wiped out. So far so good. Haven't really noticed anything significantly different.

MY22 40…updated Friday. Smoothest of the 3 updates. Had to redo some Bimmercode as per the norm.
Have noticed something though - my preconditioning is no longer turning my engine on, but interior ventilation/conditioning does seem to start (running off battery?). And the once started, the app says it will pre-condition for 30 (vice the old 25) minutes. Any thoughts? I like warming the engine.

Was able to have it updated after all. They installed 03/2024.25 yesterday. Was a matter of putting the car on a charger/tender to get the 4 yr old battery up to full charge or over whatever threshold, and then they loaded the update manually while in the shop. The dealers are reluctant to do it, especially promptly, since the car occupies a bay and/or computer for significant time and as mentioned many times here, not a warranty covered item without a complaint such as you suggested of glitchy screen behaviors etc. In the end, you can get it done but requires some persistence and possibly customer pay option.

You need to re-enable "start engine for pre-conditioning" since it default to unchecked

mine has downloaded 11/2023.50 and it says ready to install in my car, but it wont prompt me to actually install it. this is the first time in 4 years that its not prompting me to install the update. I'll be driving it for 5 and a half hours on thursday, I guess I'll find out then if all the components are 'charged' enough for it to want to update...

I caved and ended up updating to 11/2023.50. Nothing feckin changed. Not a thing. Had to spend another 10 minutes with Bimmercode just adding back all the custom settings that were wiped off. Thankfully, all control units are still accessible so everything went straight back in. Pointless and useless update. Ended up checking the status of the 12V battery using Bimmerlink and it showed 72%. I'll hook up the Ctek soon.

I updated a few days ago and ever since, I can no longer hear any phone calls. Android auto works, Bluetooth music is good. I remived my phone from the iDrive as well as deleting any pairings on the GalaxyS22 Ultra.

So I have updated my software at least 5 times since ownership with no issues. Today all goes well for the latest version, 11.2023.50, but when finished the front drivers screen shows all doors open? I tried rebooting the iDrive system but it’s still there. I read an old post that said this should go away so I will recheck it in the morning. Everything else works normally and the BMW app shows the vehicle locked.

Let it do a sleep reset and it should be gone in the morning. If not, give it a few days before worrying about it.

All years and models get the same version. Checking for a new version does nothing, it all depends on when BMW send it out. Given you are so close to the OTA version they may skip it until 03/2024 comes out.

Yes it did … but there is a but. Apparently is geo fenced and may not work in some states, despite the new menu option appearing in the driver assistant warnings sub menu.

Same thing here on a 2023 X5 40i. It went away by itself by the next day after sitting in garage.

Mine has the button and as reported I could code ASS with 11/2023.50. If there is no button then I strongly suspect that coding would be impossible.
