Can someone confirm tire size for 17x8x5 Kosei K1?

Tirerack recommends 225/45-17. From searching it looks like some people have pushed them out to 255 but with minimal clearance between tire and strut in the front. Would 245 fit ok? Can anyone confirm this setup does not rub on a 335i coupe? Getting ready to order tires today.

Thanks!
Todd

I was trying to confirm this also, I've posted another thread about it but know one has answered. I know though that some people have even installed 275 in the back and say that they wont rub if their arent passengers in the car. but I'm not exactly sure. I think that 245 should be fine though

Up to 255s should be fine. 245s will be no problem at all.

A 265 tire does fit a 8.5 wheel. The rubbing issue does not come from the tire but from the offset. What is the offset?

With stock suspension, the Victoracer 255-40-17 will fit fine front and back with no rubbing. I had the setup and you get 4mm between strut tube and tire.

I have tested this out on track, beating the living snot out of the tires. No rubbing.

275/40/17 Drag Radials work on the back (e90) with no rubbing, even with 4 passengers.
