Ordering an X5 soon - New here

Hello all - first post here and will likely order a car soon. I'm still researching at this point....and was wondering if BMW USA does anything like they do in Europe where one can pickup their vehicle at the factory, get a tour, etc.

I live in SC and I believe all x5 and x6 are produced here in SC and I'd be inclined to do this if available. Has anyone heard of this avenue to pickup their X5/X6? I'll ask the dealer about this as well and maybe get an answer next time I visit from them.

Thanks for these forums!!!!

Welcome to the forum. They do Performance Center Delivery (PCD) and many folks recommend doing it. There are numerous threads describing it and what is involved.

Here is some more info: https://www.bmwperformancecenter.com/delivery/

Picked up my X5 xDrive 50e on June 7. Awesome experience and would highly recommend. You will probably find most dealers have little understanding of the program and how it works. (at least my experience) Just research on line and in this forum. Plenty of feedback here. You won't regret it!

+1 on the very memorable experience. Going out on the track as a passenger in a M5 with a professional driver is something you won't soon forget!

I agree! Long time ago (2005 ish), I did a ring taxi ride in an M5. It wasn't Sabine, but the other driver, and was a blast to see and feel what the cars are capable of in the right hands. Was totally worth the 80 euros.

My personal track days are likely over, and who's going to track an X5 anyway????? I'll let someone else drive to show off their skills : )
