The station I filled up at yesterday was $5.09/gal.

It’s definitely cheaper at some other places (especially Costco) but I had to be somewhere at a certain time, wanted to get gas, and so stopped at the Shell that was on the way. Even at that, checking the closest Costco, looks like they have premium for $4.71 as of this morning.

Roughly paid close to $8 more for this tank just cause I didn’t want to go out of my way to Costc.

Yeah the price delta between regular and premium keeps widening. It's at least 70 cents most of the time here in Michigan. Looks like your prices are about on par with what were paying here in my local market. $5 a gallon for premium just seams insane to me. We have 3 vehicles that require the premium fuel now so it definitely adds up especially if traveling. What can you do though?

Yep, I remember the days where the different fuel grades were always just 10 cents apart from each other, definitely a much wider gap nowadays!

Hopefully we’ll see some lower prices soon because I agree, $5+/gal for premium is insane especially for those of us outside of California. 😬

The first fill up cost me roughly $140 where I live… welcome to European tax regime. And, truth be told my place is far from being on the far end of gas prices…

I use all Griots Garage products. Since the X5 wasn’t all that dirty, I just used their ceramic speed shine spray and some microfiber towels this time around.
