Transfer case oil, that s was the problem..

Quick update.
After dropping off my 2019 BMW X5 50i at the dealer a little over 51k- dealer was able to duplicate the problem of "shuttering" after accelerating on hot.
They perform the diag by disconnecting the Transfer case and provided me with two options.
Option 1- Service the Transfer Case. ( They said only 5% of cases help)
Option 2- Change the Transfer Case.

Let me tell you that I covered my ass and purchased Aftermarket warranty.
For well known reasons I decided to apply for "Good will" because I really thought that this is a BMW's concern and a lot of people have this problem. Not only I received a quick denial, I decided to get in touch with BMW directly.
After a few days lady called me and said that my request was also denied.
And btw, you know the reason why it was denied from the first place? Because I bought the vehicle in TX and never serviced it at my current MN dealer.
Valid reason..Right? When I asked them why they don't believe BMW dealer from TX and that I literally didn't service the vehicle in MN BECAUSE I Drove it only a few thousands wasn't a valid point at all...
To summarize. I love this car, but the whole "Experience" definitely NOT pleasant. They don't care what happened and not putting their noses to actually "investigate" that. Too big? Too expensive? I don't know. But my family never purchasing BMW vehicle again unless it's up to 50k...

I really thought I was the only one feeling this shudder/vibration in my truck when taking off from a standstill.
2019 xdrive 40i. I decided to put wheels on my truck and went with a 335 in the rear, and a 285 in the front (wanted flush fit no spacers). So I really thought that this was what was causing the issue. But seeing all these comments makes me think otherwise.

Only thing to note: I live in Canada and have a different set for the winter (275R20 all around) and I never feel this vibration when taking off.... Any thoughts?

Just to hop on the train here, I have the same issue, 2019 x5 50i x 52k mi, had a grinding while making slow turns (at about 47k), bmw replaced my transfer case under warranty, fixed the grinding issue. Developed the vibration right after that swap, pin pointed the vibration from 25-35mph under load, any gear any rpm it happens, rode with the service Forman and they felt it, they were also able to duplicate it on their own. Been going back and forth with them now for months, they ran diagnostics, changed fluid again, checked all bushings and bolts from the t case swap, had a technical service engineer in as well for it, and deemed it “normal”. The only thing they mentioned it could be is the guibo, anyone else get told this part is or could be the issue?

[QUOTE=mobilejo;26002215]Just adding myself to this list - G06 X6 40i - mild vibrations in floor area only from engine at idle (sometimes), when pulling off especially up hill, low speed manoeuvring like parking and reversing when steering wheel is turned.

Also vibrations in same foot area when driving over not-so smooth roads even when car is in neutral and just rolling down a hill.

In my car at least, as I get it from the engine AND the road, I figure something is not as insulated as it should be, allowing any external vibrations to be felt more than they should be in the floor of the car.

Plus one on that..2024 x5 40i. Vibration somewhat subsides after driving for about 8mi. Drives me nuts...

2019 62k miles.

Had the “TC rumble” at low speeds backing out of spaces and my driveway. Changed all fluids (Transfer case, front and rear diff) and all is well so far. Will continue to monitor.

What fluid was used and what viscosity. I'm guessing it's not the same as factory?

Bump for same experience on the ‘24 X5 40i. Not annoying (yet), but noticeable. All fluids are from factory and car has 50mi. Guess I’ll wait and see a bit as things settle in together. Have you found a definite solution for your ‘24?

Bumping this up…Has anyone else experienced this or had it fixed? Anyone else told it was the “Guibo” and changed this with success? I’m at 55k and still have the issue with no change, but looking into a new guibo bushing

TSB on this to add an additive which warranty did not cover (because it was a fluid), be prepared for over $400. A bit livid about this.

I still have the vibration/rumble in the same mph range, I’ll try the additive when the weather is a little nicer here, has anyone else tried the additive?

Facing the same problem, can anyone tell the cost of installing a new transfer case.
