Thanks for the thoughts. I agree, the financing / lease options are not great. If you are paying cash they are much more apples to apples given both cars sticker right about the same with equal option loads. What sort of discounts off MSRP are you guys seeing on the M50i?

I did shockingly well. Not because I'm some master negotiator just got a great hookup with the GM from a friend. I was right at 12%. $92 build for $81 or so including the two junk fees (destination etc)

Looking real sweet!

I am digging those brushed aluminum side view mirrors. I much prefer those over carbon fiber option.

Also interesting how BMW decided to change up the 'badging'. My current F15 XDrive50i simply displays X5 on the rear with no ///M badging except on the interior.

They do look cool though. Saw 2 blacked out ones at the car line today. Soccer moms are taking it to a whole new level these days

Neighbor that parks next to me just got a white on red RR sport Supercharged and it looks dope, just not worth that money.

sudgenius Just saw your video, thx for that.
I’m wondering if/why the M50i hasnt got the nice growl and crackle sounds like the M850i has as shown in the following video:

The M850i seems to sound way more aggressive and louder than M50i although they share the same engine.

Was Sport+ activated when you revd it?

I agree, they look insanely good. I used to not like the rear straight on view but with 2020 they fixed that with the exhausts more like the big RR. Such a great looking truck and interior is incredibly refined. The issue I am having is that the X5 is the better truck, it just does not have the same "gotta have it factor" because it doesn't sound quite as good and the interior is a lot more plain. Likely will still go this direction but money aside any reason any of you guys went with the X5 over the RRSS?

RR was too big for my needs, and X5 handling is superb with DHP.

WIth regard to the "exhaust sound", it's all in the mufflers, which are different.

I had the mismatched panels ...

... took 6 weeks to get the right panel (the only reason it was fixed was because of my rock star DA ... BMW NA was NON-RESPONSIVE).

I also had a blown speaker (B&W stereo - speaker in the left headliner). Again BMA NA was NON-RESPONSIVE

I asked for some compensation ... they (4 mos later) sent me a check for $1000
