Bummed out that we don't have Expert Mode for HU_MGU ECU - that's the missing piece to be able to do the remainder of the coding I want without having to pull the trigger on EsysX or Launcher Pro.

Guys, don't bother with launcher pro, just get esysx.

No benefit to launcher pro whatsoever anymore.

If you want to code the G05 and future istep updates esysx is the only option.

Group buy? :-) If so, I am in for the dongle only.

I've got the dongle. Works well on vm.

Latest version also has activation conditions for code discovery

Is esysx like the old esys with the German codes and connecting a laptop to the car?
Or did it go Bluetooth / app / dongle too?

I just saw these posts so haven't looked it up myself yet.

@ifr

Are you saying esysx works in a VM? I thought it had to be pc only. That was the only thing holding me back.

Thanks

Yep works in vm and can be moved to another device without issue, but you need to get the dongle version.

Esysx works with esys to activate the token AND map the psdzdata codes into a readable format. BMW trimmed the codes to make them unreadable by consumers a few years back.

Still need an OBD-2 cable

I'm on iOS. I think the android and apple versions offer different functionalities. Especially if you're a beta tester.

I'll have to reconnect to verify but I'm pretty sure HU_MGU is "Head Unit" in the app on iOS.

I have their TestFlight version 3.6. I just don't know what I can do with MGU.

It's SAS that is the main issue for Bimmercode and aSLA. Doubt the app will ever support it.
