I have all of the same problems you described. In addition, my daughter plugged in her USB to charge her phone and now my radio/presets/fm/am/xm won't pay and I'm getting an error message looking for USB. One other thing, my wifi on my phone won't work when connected to the car's Apple play which makes any apps including weather, Waze unusable.

Same problems and more. So beyond frustrated. I was hoping to have a carefree enjoyable experience with my first new car in seven years and instead I find myself having to trouble shoot, spend time on the phone with genius and now go into the dealership to leave the car to be evaluated.

Anyone else having problems with steering? It seems to happen only in very cold weather...teens to below zero (live in Chicago). The steering will become very loose with tons of give, not the tight reactive steering like it usually has. In addition, it will weave all over the lane like a tire is low or the car is out of alignment. It comes and goes out of nowhere. Like I said, only thing I have to go on is it seems to happen after exposure to cold. It is very concerning as the car is extremely difficult to navigate when it acts like this. When I called the genius bar, they said they had heard several complaints about this, but I don't see anything on the thread here yet.

I think your intervention systems may be activated. Turn those off.

Others have had issues with steering in extremely cold temperatures.

Intervention systems turned on or off don't make any difference with the cold weather 'steering twitch'.

Thanks. My delivery is next week. Hoping I won't need it but the more I read the more nervous I get.

You should be fine. I got mine a little over 2 weeks ago and all is going well. One time I lost my weather widget and bc button but they came back after letting it sit awhile.

I have been following the threads and haven't noticed that people with the latest version (.53) are really having any problems. All my driving assistance systems are working very well. I don't think you have anything to worry about.

Creaks and Rattles

Anyone else having problems with random pops and creaks coming from the dash and from somewhere in the rear of the vehicle? I special ordered mine with the Bowers & Wilkins sound and all of the speakers seem to be loose-fitting. I thought this was the issue but it sounds like the noises are coming from inside the dash.

It is turned off. That is the first thing I considered. I also made sure none of the camera eyes were blocked/covered with dirt/snow. Day 2 of my new car sitting at the repair shop. Waiting for an answer. When I get one, I will post.

Thank you for this. I see the other posts. I am so disappointed with this vehicle. Brand new car and I'm at day two of it being at the dealer trying to get this issue diagnosed.

Same here. Beyond frustrating and most of all, dangerous! My car literally weaves in the lane like a tire is low or the steering is out of line. Very difficult to manage and seems to only happen in the cold.

I have had my 2019 X5 for a few weeks and the iDrive has started locking up intermittently. It seems to really slow down and then lock up. I am going to video it when it goes crazy. I lose all audio controls, Heads Up Display no longer shows music selection or navigation information. At least the car still operates. the only cure is to hold the radio on/off button in for a really long time. I have also had the system reboot while driving. The car is awesome, but these issues will sour the relationship in a hurry!

You should be happy If that's the only complaint you have

I picked up my build on Valentine's Day, and immediately left on a 6 hour road trip. Issues I have: the rear right vent only pushes heat even on max a/c (we are in south Florida). The fact that the wireless charging brings up Apple Pay and overheats my phone. It doesn't charge it, just keeps it charged, perhaps because Apple Pay is activated the whole time. Siri only works sometimes in CarPlay. I can't screen mirror. I had the whole info system disconnect for a bit while parked but it came back on. I had a 12 hour drive round trip and this is what I found so far. I haven't played that much yet, it's only been 3 days. I expected glitches. There always are with the early models. Still absolutely love it and the massaging seats are the best thing ever.

To me it looks like an electrical problem, but what do I know?

Gave me a 2019 540i loaner. It's amazing how dated the interior of the 5 looks compared to the X-5.

The service manager thinks we will be back in our X-5 on Monday. We'll see....
I love the interior of my G30 5-Series. And zero issues with ID6. It may look dated to you but it works 100% of the time.

What good does it do to have the greatest and latest ID7 if it doesn't even work properly?😉

Looks like BMW rushed ID7 out the proverbial door.
