I believe it's in the parking assistance option.

Innovative driver support systems enhance and improve parking. Assists by finding parking spaces on the right or left side; then steers you into the spot, but also operates for perpendicular spaces. Additionally, 3-D surround view gives driver all-around awareness combined with active ultrasonic sensors which inform you of distance to other vehicle and unseen objects with audible warnings.

My remote commands started working but when i go to 3D view it tells me its disabled in the car and its not!!! Anyone have this ?

Spend a little time reviewing other threads on the iDrive 7 topic. You'll find there are a ton of bugs and failures in the software. The hope is that BMW will get busy fixing it all soon.

Do a 30 second reboot and then uncheck and recheck the option. See if that works.

BMW genius called me to follow up on the issue, said the remote lock and climatize should work already but they are aware that 3D view not working yet and they are still working on it

Did ConnectedDrive features stop working for anyone today? Was working for me all of this week until today (after last weekend's outage was fixed). Car stopped receiving addresses via ConnectedDrive in the morning, and this evening looks like 3D view is dead as well.

Remote 3D view is still working for me (after its recent hiatus), but Connected Drive is not at all in terms of navigation.

I've never been able to "send" an address to the X5 like in my 2018 540, but going into the Connected Drive App in iDrive (before it disappeared, returning only last week) would bring up upcoming events/destinations from my calendar. That was working last week when the apps returned, but now all I get is "Unable to display destinations" or something like that when I go into Connected Drive in iDrive. It is working normally in my 540.

Anyone else?

Try this to send addresses to the car while ConnectedDrive app is not working. Log into the below, send an address from here and it should show up in BMW Messages (rather than in ConnectedDrive Messages).

Seems incredible that BMW is struggling with these extremely basic app features.

Mike - I get the same error as you when trying to see messages - "Unable to display", but unlike yours, mine was working until yesterday.

3D View - failing under "Activating Camera System", "No Data Connection Available". Same as a week ago.

I had this issue until I logged into the car by creating a synced connected drive profile. If you created an offline profile and didn't login to iDrive then it won't work. Once I deleted the offline one my dealer created and signed in with the ConnectedDrive account every single address I had tried to send the car came in.

What do you mean by offline vs. online profile? My dealer logged me in with the connecteddrive account i've had since my 2016 X5. When i walk into the car, it greets me with my name and logs into that profile. Should i just sign out of the profile and back in?

If you signed into that profile in the iDrive (not just the phone app) then I don't know why it wouldn't be working. Are you sure they logged you into the car itself? My dealer said they did but after talking to a Genius via phone they hadn't. It greeted me by name bc they created an offline profile with my name.

I'll double check - but I am fairly sure it was the actual online profile (i gave them username/password before i picked up car). Not to mention all the app features were working for a week without issue. I'll give it a few days and try to sign in and out of the profile, and reboot one more time. If that doesn't work will have to take it for service. My calls with Genius have been useless.. all they can do is suggest to update apps and reboot.

Tried it again this afternoon - was functional for a few hours (receiving addresses and 3D view). Then started getting an entirely new error when testing 3D View: "No Services can be performed at this time because another service is in progress" . Logged in and out of the app to try to fix that, and now the app is saying 3D view is not enabled in the car.

Feels like zero QA was done. Hopefully more effort went into making sure the safety features in the car work.

Mine was doing this, fully removed the app, reinstalled from the app store and logged in and has been working good all week now. Also double check your messages, from home screen, push wheel forward to get there and see if there is a message to agree to all the crap again and agree to everything, or just double check remote 3d view is enabled in the car.

Everything work now after :

1. Reboot idrive
2. Update app and service (click physical option button)
3. Delete and reinstall connected APP on my phone
