Cargo net

I cannot find a cargo net for the G05. Is one available and are any hooks installed in the cargo are to secure a net?

I've been looking at these, also.

Which kind do you want?

Across the back: https://www.shopbmwusa.com/PRODUCT/825/BMW-LUGGAGE-NET

Or over the floor: https://www.shopbmwusa.com/PRODUCT/1...MENT-FLOOR-NET

If you want BMW, I bet these work for G05, also. Or there are many 3rd party options via Amazon.

Prefer across the back style. I don't have my X5 yet. Are hooks available to secure the across the back style?

That's the kind I prefer, also, and I thought I had confirmed that it did have the hooks on top, but I can't find a photo now that shows that they are there. In fact the photos show a gap at top, but I can't see whether there is a hook.

I think you may be able to hook to that gap but I don't think there is a hook like on the floor.

From what I can see there's nowhere to hook one up natively, no luggage rails either

Something like these may grab onto the plastic lip but there's nothing for a closed loop style hook to connect to. So it wouldn't be totally secure.

There's plastic "multi function" hooks on the top at the back that you press to un hide. You can hook onto those and then to the bottom. My net fits either across the floor or across the back, but those plastic ones don't seem that strong to me.

Thanks folks. I found one on Amazon that I am hoping might work. It is not expensive but is just what I am looking for if it is the right size. Anyone know if it will fit? Several reviews says it works well in Yukon sized vehicles.

Thanks for that link! I should be getting my X5 back soon and look forward to looking at the upper hooks.

I'm also considering getting something like this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B071F82CYJ/

There are tons of them on Amazon, so trying to sort through the garbage.

I use the across the back net on my G05. It's an older one that I've had for years, but it looks exactly the same as this one: https://www.shopbmwusa.com/PRODUCT/825/BMW-LUGGAGE-NET.
To make it work, I took two s-hooks and attached them to the two corners of the net that have loops but no hooks (the other corners have attached hooks). I just bent the ends together so they don't come off the net and left the other ends open.

The G05 has strap hooks on the floor of the trunk and the other two hooks can hook to small holes or indents that are a few inches above the split trunk on each corner.

I can take a photo later, if that would help, but it works great as long as you don't need to get into the storage under the floor. You need to remove the net every time you want to do that. The nice thing about this net is that it also has two pockets. You can store stuff in the pockets or use the net as a net to hold things against the fold down part of the trunk lid.

This looks promising. If anyone can measure the cargo areaI would appreciate it. Would be helpful to know what size net is the best fit.

That's also the kind I like but it seems like the german manufacturers always seem to offer the crappy net that ties flat to the floor. Useless to me.

I agree. I want one that I can drop bottles of wine and a half gallon of milk into and drive home without it sliding around or turning over.

Would like to see a photo of your setup please. I can’t see where to hook it across the back up top. Thx

The F15 had a cargo net "easter egg" in one of the trunk panels... Anyone come across one yet in their G05?

Here you go (I use simple, small metal s-hooks similar to this, and then bent one side around the next hook, like this; I wrapped them in cloth tape to prevent rattling):

This is the one that came with our G05. This net is tight and good quality to keep things in place.
