Latest Software Version and what it does

So the dealer got the cornering lights working but they are having a bit of trouble activating the Experience Modes. They have a case in with BMW technical. They asked if I could leave them the car for the weekend which I agreed. These guys (Pfaff) are phenomenal so I don't mind as this would help others with similar issues down the road.

I should get it back on Monday and can share more information including the software version.

Thanks for sharing your experience. Did you get the .49 version software upgrade? What is the experience tomorrow?

I don't know the version yet. They want the car for until Monday to figure out the Experience Modes. I'll know for certain when I get it back.

Here is what the Experience Mode is all about. My buddies who just got their X5's with the later software versions .35 and higher have these modes.

Is the .49 version the latest update for USA? I take delivery of my car tomorrow and want to get this message out to the dealer to have the SW updated before I get there and to let me know only once it is all done and working.

Good idea, I wouldn't take delivery until the latest firmware is installed. That way they can't play the service games...
I believe that's the latest version...

Yesterday had my software upgraded to .45
Main differences noticed:
- always on the x5 M50d in the main digital clocks screen. before sometimes was but mostly not
- before the car represented in all menus or main clocks on startup was a x5 basic version, in my colour but basic. Now appears a M version with my colour just different alloys
- not sure if no different letters in speed digital counter

Besides these I didn't noticed nothing different.

Anyone noticed something more ?

Yes, .49 was the latest one I read.

I can't seem to find anything but I'm assuming you should be able to define some of those experiences.

X5 picked up. Current, just updated by dealer, version is 3/2019.45 and I was told it came with 3/2019.35 from factory.

So far so good. BMW Connect was down so the dealer wasn't able to set up BMW Connect accounts and functions, LOL.

How far were they able to go with setting up your account?
I had issues creating my wife's profile this week. Created it, got the email, clicked the link to authenticate, and then could not complete registration ( address, phone number, etc).

After waiting a day in hopes that the issue would get resolved, I tried logging in in the car with her email address as the username and the chosen password and it worked.

This allowed for us to have our own profiles and then matched them to our respective keys.

Humm. My buddy has .45 and he has it. He can also set the to activate the heated seats and steering wheel to come on at specific temperature.

Hopefully the features are activated on Monday so I can take some pics.
