Pic/info request: Rear G05 mperformance CF winglets
I can't seem to find any closeup pictures, or "actual" pictures of what they look like actually installed.
It "appears" that the oem trim piece needs to be removed, but I'm not 100% sure. Was hoping someone with them installed could snap a shot of them up close, and maybe even underneath so I can see how they attach. Front ones are already purchased.... still determining if I want to buy the oem set for the rear, or continue waiting (patiently) for Autotechnik to make a rear set. Thanks in advance!

These are some pictures I already had. Let me know if you need anything else. I had them installed at the dealership before I picked it up so don't know what was involved in the installation. I went for the full kit so mirrors, decals, air intakes and diffuser as well. Happy I did.
Thoughts: they are cool and help the look in a subtle way. Difficult to clean behind, worried that if anyone else ever washed the car, they'd break off. |

Thanks Carney..
So.... presumably that black "strip" on the bottom edge of the rear had to come off, right? Because the CF piece replaces it??

I've always been a fan of the BMW M performance parts (provided they aren't plastered with tacky logos) but have to say the MP bits for the G05 are awful. Too limited, small and fiddly and vastly overpriced.
I wish they'd go down the usual route of splitter, diffuser, side blades etc vs these daft winglets that add little aesthetic benefit never mind aerodynamic. |
