Say what you want about the man, but he brought in the bank for BBC. Top Gear is one of the most entertaining shows on TV, so much so that even my wife watches it and enjoys it. Hopefully the trio returns to a new network and dumps a load on BBC, just my opinion.

that's the problem, you can't literally punch someone...that's assault on both sides of the Atlantic.

The man is a pompous blowhard and as evidence has shown, a violent bully who would both verbally and physically assault other people.
Such behavior cannot be tolerated in any workplace. Of course it's likely he ll be able to maybe create a new show somewhere else since he has a lot of fans. |

But it feels so good though; probably the fastest way to get someone to shut the fuck up too.

Supposedly, Clarkson had some production tiff with the guy, it snowballed, then during lunchtime, he asked for a steak and fries, and was served a cold deli platter instead. Cold lunch = get punched in the face.

I enjoy James May and Richard Hammond, but Top Gear is nothing without Jeremy Clarkson. Say what you will about the man, but he made Top Gear worth watching, and without him, the show will soon die.
What a shame. It was one of my favorite shows. I guess I can cancel my request for free tickets now. Not worth seeing a filming without JC there. |

Even that said, this last series sucked hard compared to previous series thanks to all the sanctions the PC nannies were laying on them. Chris Harris? If I wanted to be bored to death I'd go listen to my mother talk about her gardening exploits. Don't forget, he did /Drive or whatever it was called. And that was mindbogglingly awful. Nail in the coffin. Top Gear was a great show, and the BBC fucked it up.

It took a criminal act but Clarkson has finally been exposed for who he is. He will never find another employer with the distribution, exposure and money the BBC was giving him. Yeah he will work again but never with his previous level of success. People now know he is a low life. This is a man that thinks nazi salutes are funny. Many companies don't want a guy this toxic.

Couple of thoughts...so anybody ever watch a sporting event where a fight broke out with the star player was involved? Did the team cut their star player..?
I can't imagine Jeremy Clarkson's old ass whipping anyone.... |

And for part 2, American television is hoping for someone toxic, it boosts the ratings. For reference, look at any reality show. Say what you want, but the guy is a character and brings in $$$ |
