335i vs. Stock Current Body Mustang GT

Just curious if anyone with a 335i stock (not proceded) has staged up with a current body Mustang GT.

Looking at the numbers I can see online as far as power is concerned they are very close in horsepower/torque also 0-60 and quarter. With the mustang I have seen numbers that are exact with the 335i in quarter and 0-60 and I have seen numbers that show it to be much slower.

Just wondering if anyone has actually done this race? I am not looking to compare in terms of handling or braking...just wondering about a straight quarter mile run.

FWIW, most mustang drivers dont know how to drive, let alone launch. They will typically get excited and smoke the tires through first gear. They are all bark and no bite.

With my mods i put a new body mustang GT with Power Software upgrade and Full exhaust soooo far in my rear view mirror that I didnt even have to finish accelerating through 3rd. Car is fast but our cars are incredible.

I agree with you 100%...But there are a few guys that have them that actually know how to drive. A good friend of mine has a 2003 Mach and I know that car with him driving would smoke my 335i granted he would get lost through the turns..And if I can ever get my car back from the dealer long enough to install a procede it would be a great race and I would probably come out on top.

But I am curious how a well driven late model Mustang GT would fair against a stock 335i.

Anyone?

Shouldn't be too difficult to dispatch a new GT with a stock 335...the 335 has more hp...more torque and I believe it's lighter.

Car&Driver got it at 13.8 sec @ 103 mph

In the real world, it would probably be a drivers race.

Well last night me and a few buddys decided to test this one out..

My car is a 335i e92 stock. 6AT
His is a 2005 Mustang GT Stock 5MT

We went out to the coast...because it is at least 10 miles straight with nothing but water next to you...So it was a fairly safe spot.
Also one of my buddies is a cop so he could keep us out of trouble.

After about 10 races the mustang gave up he switched drivers, I even gave him a car length...Every race...I just pulled and pulled and pulled...Right off the line I had a car length..and then pulled away...The biggest spankin I gave him was a 4 car length loss..The closest race was when I gave him a length and I only beat him by a length...He finally launched it right and I didn't pull past him until about 90mph.

Sorry no photos or vids...this wasnt something we set out to do and had cameras with us...we were going to the beach to play some football late at night and decided to settle up all of my friends shit talking once and for all.

Next time I gotta go up against my friends Mach 1.
