New BMW owner

I joined the Beamer family! I can't believe it!
I bought a slightly used 6K miles 2023 x5 40i a week ago! It drives like new. I have rented X5's twice. This 23 drives noticeably better than those rentals. Must be the 20" tires.
I got the 7 year extended warranty.
Got a ceramic coating yesterday. Still curing in garage. i don't have any outside pics yet. Pouring rain out.
Black sapphire metallic with black and cognac interior
Thinking about mud flaps. They have them on Amazon for this
g05. Yay or nay? I don't want rock damage.

Congrats. Good find. My personal opinion on mud flaps is that I don’t like the look. The X5 is a great piece of outdoor machinery and thus exposed to the elements. Try not to obsess over rock chips and PPF, mud flaps etc. Ceramic makes it easy to clean but has zero protection from rock chips and such elements. My first German make was a 2003 CLK 500 and I spent a small fortune trying to protect it from the elements. In the end I decided it wasn’t worth it and it added nothing to trade value.

Every time I trade cars, which is way too often, I go into the “It has ceramic tinting, and ceramic coating, and it’s detailed every two weeks, and it has this, that and the other thing,” and I always get a look back that says, “I don’t know what this fool is trying to get at, but it’s almost lunch time and I think I’ll have the tuna salad.”

I bought a set of mud flaps on Amazon. They look ok IMO and do a decent job keeping mud and rocks off the paint.

Congratulations and welcome to the family! Looks really good and love the black / cognac combo. Mud flaps wouldn't look too bad, there's a few threads on this specific topic as well. Here they are for your reference:

After sitting in the garage for 2 days to let the ceramic cure, I got the Noco Genius 10 amp used on Amazon.
WoW!
My Battery Minder 8 amp took like 2 days to charge fully charge or more.
Noco took 2 hours!

Congrats!

How long were you told you had to let the car cure? I put a coating from DIY Detail on my car last weekend. They said it could be "exposed to the elements" after an hour, but not to wash it for a week.

Well the mudflaps from Amazon fit the front of my 23. They don't properly fit the back.
It says on Amazon that they fit a 19-22. So I thought they would still fit 23.
There has been a slight change on the rear of a 2023 g05 I guess.

Anyone know where else that has mudflaps for x5's?

It depends on what ceramic coating you get. I got Opticoat Pro (5yr) on my Raptor and it cures in an hour or so. Just don't wash it for a couple weeks. Ceramic Pro on the other hand requires curing and also a yearly inspection and touch up (if needed) to maintain warranty.

Found the flaps that fit this 23 g05!
It's the same manufacturer as the ones the didn't fit the back but fit fit the front.

The front ones in this new batch are the same exact as the first batch (down to the part no printed on it). They fit perfect.
The back muflaps in this new batch say 2021 fit perfectly!
That first batch said 2019 did not fit properly. Almost.

These fit my 2023. They do come with screws. They are the cheapest around.

Mudflaps are installed! I love them! No more splatter on the doors and rear. They got a nice coating of 303 protectant before install.
Dad's Garage did the install. Mike the owner did it. Really great guy! Best garage in this area!
First wash today with the ceramic coated paint. Used Car Pro Reset.

Front windows tinted with 20% Xpel somthing. Did the dim dash fix with Bimmercode. What do the 24's do?

The mudflaps appear a good fit.

How did you attach them on the wheel arch please, screw or rivet? Any issues?

A master mechanic installed them. He used the screws and clips that came with them. I didn't watch. Took him an hour.
