Keep in mind that the lighting regulations differ between countries WRT the brightness, light distribution, and color, so there are numerous lamp assemblies required for around the world. Throw in that the US adaptive lighting parameters differ from those that have been in use around the rest of the world, and that is also an issue. Eventually, BMW will likely certify adaptive lights for the USA, but it has not happened yet that I can tell, and may be difficult with just s/w to make it legal in the US on those already delivered on the original G05.
