Good news is that at least now you have options to lower the car even with the coil spring suspension. Talk w Ben at RG sport he will take good care of you.

There are actually plenty of options for standard suspension cars. I lowered mine with Eibach springs.

For sure I just bought a set of wheels for the wife's x7 from Ben. I plan lowering the car and getting a kit from him. His service is unbeatable

Just been super busy with the 3rd child on the way I've been trying get as much done before the baby's arrival.

Lowering & camber

After multiple hours of web-whacking I can’t find any lowering kits stated available for xdrive 4.0. Tirerack, K$S, RG. Nada.
Our “new” G05 (steel suspension and our 1st X5) burned through the first set of Bridgestone at 15k. Outer 1” only of BOTH fronts totally beyond the traction bar. Dealer says “typical” and “they are hard on front tires”. BS. Yes they eat tires, relatively, but guys on this forum are bitchin’ Because they only get 30k on a 50 or 60k set.
I’ll take the x5 to the super-tune high end shop for alignment and also ask their sources for lowering kit. Most experts I’ve asked suspect the camber (non adjustable on x5) and lowering will add more negative camber. I certainly agree with the aesthetics mentioned above - terrific result.
The camber is “within spec” so no warranty work but I’m beyond that. With a new set of Michelins on order I’d really like to get reasonable mileage from them. I’m attempting to read every post on the subject. Of course if the laser/high-end shop says camber isn’t bad I’ll had to eat my own valve stems. Still want to lower though.

It sounds like your issue isn't camber, likely your toe is out of spec. That's most likely what chewed up your front tires. Best person to speak w is Ben at RG sport, he can hook you up with the right lowering springs for your steel suspension G05.

Hey bud, what’s the local tuner shop you used? I’m in Miami as well and looking for an experienced shop who knows what they’re doing. Any feedback would be great
