Parking brake button snapped off!

He everyone, I just ran into an issue where my E Brake button snapped off and I'm looking for the part or part number to replace it.

Any help would be appreciated!

Try RealOEM.com. You can put the last 7 of your VIN into the tool and it will show you parts by category. Once you find the part, the part number is in the table below the diagrams. You can then do a Google search for BMW followed by the part number.

They stopped updating the tool at some point, I think some time around 2019 or 2020, but if your VIN doesn't work just enter the information for your car as close as you can. The part you need should be the same for all G05 X5s.

The button is not sold as an individual part - you can only buy the whole control panel from BMW.

If yours has broken in such a way that the button is broken, but where it mounts in the control panel is fine so you could just clip a new button in, your best bet would probably be to find a used panel on ebay or similar and carefully remove the button from that.

thanks everyone for the info. Unfortunately I can't take a picture of it because I jammed it in so I could turn off the brakes. Heading to the dealer for an inspection this week and I'll have them look/fix it. I'll post the results.

The online part database sites (realoem.com & bimmercat.com) shows a repair kit that is available for the G05 X5...looks like there's a Parking Brake button included in item #2.

Since there's no model/model year listed for the OP...I generically chose a G05 X5 M50iX:
