S68/M60i First service question

Pretty sure the X5M/X6M's requires a service at 1000 miles and that it includes an oil change. With the S68 being an M produced engine, supposedly with all new shared internal components would this service extend down to the M60i vehicles?

M's require it at 1,200 miles. You would think the M60i would need the oil changed then also given it is the same engine but according to the 23 X7 M60i maintenance booklet that is not the case and just needs to be done at the CBS notified interval.
