Software Update to X5 from My BMW

Greetings

Received the notification on my BMW app, says it is downloaded to the phone, when in the vehicle I cannot get it to download, am connected by WIFI and Bluetooth ( Apple Phone)

Any ideas, solutions , besides ask a first grader to do it for me !

As long as you are connected, nothing special needs to be done if you use CarPlay, it will download as you drive around.

it won't download to your car unless your dual lithium battery 12V is at 100%. Learning that now...

FWIW, it's my understanding that the lithium battery of the mild hybrid is a 48vdc device, and to manually charge it, you need a 12vdc battery charger >=20A and the hood must be open to make that happen.

It won't update the software unless the 12vdc battery(s) is nearly fully charged, either. A typical battery maintainer usually doesn't go over about 10A, so may not be large enough to get the 48vdc lithium to charge.
