Recently my dog set off my car alarm (2024 X5 40i) as I neglected to hit the lock button on my key twice when I exited. I got a somewhat delayed alert on my phone that alarm had been set off. I was actually looking at the car from a restaurant when I saw the tail lights flashing. Not exactly sure when it showed up on my phone and don't remember if it was text or email but I didn't notice the message until after I left the restaurant. When traveling and staying at hotel I would like to be alerted by email or text quickly if car alarm activated. Is this possible or will there always be a delay?
