22" Tyre Options

Hi Guys,

In search for front tyres. Currently running the following:

275/35/22 - Continentals
315/30/22 - P Zero

Want a bit more rubber so was wondering if the following would suit with out any issues

275/40/22
315/40/22

Thanks!

Previous thread covering your inquiry in +5 sidewall sizing but also in regards to all-seasons.

But TLDR; is no issue since overall front and rear tire sizes are within 1%. And if you're fine with ONLY summer performance tire options.

Going +5 in front increases overall diameter by 96mm to 114mm = +14%

When speedometer reads 60 km/h actual speed will be 62.2 km/h

Revs per mile is 4% less, from 682 down to 658.

All what ever size changes you make, you want to ensure there is 1% or less differentiation between front and rear cause well xDrive.

Very insightful thank you!

Nearly 1.4 miles in that case (UK)

I remember seeing somewhere on the idrive menu where you can actually adjust the mph difference? Cannot remember where

I believe Michelin now offer a 22" option too.

Possibly - i was trying to see if it would be ok to use 40 vs 35 on the fronts.
