I don't think this has anything to do with Verizon but rather the Qualcomm chip in that particular Iphone's model. If you buy an unlocked Qualcomm processor Iphone X (Model 1865) and use it on any other carrier it will be also faster on other networks than model 1901 (INTEL chip)... this has nothing to do with Verizon.

What Verizon does seem to have is the best coverage, compared to other carriers, especially in suburban or remote / rural areas. I have Verizon, I can get a signal, inside the house in our area. Friends with AT&T or Sprint, or others, no signal or have to go outside. In major metropolitan areas, they are all about the same.

It's all subjective. My wife and I regularly travel to WV for hiking and the great outdoors. Her Verizon phone pretty much loses signal across the state border never to return. My att phone maintains reception during our trips. Albeit some minor outages due to terrain.

They are priced the same as Verizon but when I had att I thought it was a downgrade in reception compared with Verizon.
