Beautiful build Alan! My rear BC Forged wheels are the same spec as yours, down to the exact width and offset :-)

Same with my F85. Was solid the 2 years I had it. BMW nailed it with that one except for the styling for me. The F95 they nailed the styling but missed the mark on the ultra track focused firm suspension. Still love it though...

I have two kids myself but I find they actually sleep better when the car is bouncing them around. bump bump bump and they are out cold

I thought about it but it really is so simple to make I couldn't charge for it. As for the rear I didn't really care because rocks weren't really nailing the car besides the inner lip of the fender flare. I have thought about it again now because rocks are hitting my Akra tips now

Appreciate the kind words and was my pleasure to finally meet up with you. I suspect there will be a lot more builds coming out as parts becomes available.

Thanks for always answering my texts with random questions. Don't think i've ever purchased car parts as easily as I have with you.

Thanks! I am glad it all worked out. I could have ended up with some very expensive paper weights if i didn't like the HREs

Thanks! I'm actually surprised because I saw a pic of your car at EUDM and your rear looked more aggressive than mine. I guess it didn't setting down yet after being jacked up. These offsets do not look right on stock height.

Yes - Subtle drop really really transformed the way the car looks. Ride quality is slightly better than stock. Def. not worse.

I would do it over again without a doubt. I hated how this car always looked like it was on shipping blocks before the MSS kit. Granted I know its a SUV but there is a problem when nobody else in this class of suv has anywhere as much wheel gap as these cars.

I noticed with only several hundred miles on the odometer I already had a hand full of paint chips on the lower parts of the doors. My previous X's were completely sandblasted on the sides because of wide sticky summer tires.

I purchased these on amazon and just cut them to the shape I wanted. Held on by double sided tape and has prevented anymore rock chips on my car which has over 10K miles on it now.

one 400x250x.05 is enough for two flaps and they are thin enough to cut with regular scissors. After cutting just light sand the edges and you are done.

Also note mine are the matte carbon which is what i recommend. I also purchased a set of gloss carbon sheets and that did not work. The material was brittle and would crack as i was cutting the sheet. The matte version is surprisingly flexible and could bend a lot without cracking.
I really like this. Could you please share the dimensions of the mudflap cutouts and which 3M double sided tape you are using?

great pics alan, love that you've captured so many different angles of the MBB X5MC. the colour is just so nice, and for me is THE colour for this car, it seems to just look good from any angle. when i wash & dry thoroughly (OCD wheels clean, plus brush work, maybe some tooth-picking work, tyre dressing ... the full works!) and stand back to admire the car, i wonder if it looks too good to drive!

your pics have answered my question on another thread about whether the 22s in the front would be possible, and look good ... they look great. i must say i dont like the side-on look of the staggered wheels, the 22s front & rear looks so much cleaner.

i've been messaging m-prsev about his HREs, he has the FF-11s which i love as i'm more a "wheel minimalist" man myself so am hoping that the FF-11s look the business when fitted ... yours look very cool, and premium

have you got spacers on the car? my contact here in the UK says that ET20F & ET23R mean that spacers aren't needed (I've got 12mm FC spacers with my stock 808s)?

i'll send on pics when my wheels and Strecken lip are fitted ... keep your pics coming, love the industrial background & different views!

Thanks! I agree 100% that MBB is THE color for this car. Heck I’d say on any M model really. It’s so dynamic and beautiful at the same time.

My offsets do not require spacers anymore and I think it’s perfect as long as the car is lowered. My Vossen wheels offsets were a smidge more aggressive (et19f and et17R) and I thought it was way too much without a drop. After the drop it was fine but I prefer the HRE et23 in the rear. The front has room to go more aggressive but your paint will suffer big time because a lot more rubber will be throwing rocks up hitting the car.

Congrats! Beautiful X5MC & mods!

Yes!! Marina Bay Blue is truly my favorite blue for all of the reasons you mentioned and then some.
I love it on my F90 M5C and it also looks fantastic on your F95's lines. Like the car, it has multiple personalities (lighting in this case). Enjoy it in good health!!

If I were to consider an M5 MBB would absolutely be the color i'd pick. Not even a question.

Its a requirement with these wheels. Its so bright you see right inside the barrel so if they aren't clean it stands out big time.

Honestly I am curious myself but I don't think i've come across anyone on the forums complaining about rough ride with any suspension setup on the G05 side.

My only experience with the G05 was a base 40i loaner with 19" wheels so not exactly apples to apples. That obviously rode way softer and floaty.

The F95 is perfectly fine if the roads aren't horrible. I daily mine in NYC so there are sections of my commute where i just cringe no matter how slow I am going but once i take out outside of the city its perfectly fine. Firm like a M car would be.

Alan
How is it on the S turns on the upper west side highway? 😁
