Mine also, I’ve been told it’s still April. I’ll be pretty pissed if there is s/w out there that resolves the problem and I’ve not been called in for it

Thanks for confirming, very odd a few of us have been told to carry on waiting unless they want the update to be done OTA so they don’t have to have the car into the workshop to do the update directly for some reason…

But this would be a strange thing to do to somebody who has a new vehicle with non-functioning features from delivery, you think they would be keen to do the update and put it right asap!

My dealer told me the update would take place at their workshop.

How many fuckups can BMW make??? This is sheer incompetence and total lack of communication.

I also read on German forums from 50e users that ambient air works after installing 11/2023.

Screenshot of release notes and it says ambient air works. This is a post from January. So this fix is already several months out!

Got the 11/2023.42 installed today OTA with release notes in mybmw app

Some of the upgrades/fixes are:
Welcome light animation add-on available in the connected drive store
The ambient air function is now working
It’s now possible to transfer data from drive recorder to my BMW app
Option to set lights behavior individually when locking and unlocking the car
Some bug fixes with no further information

I have the ambiance air but got it only for the ioniser as i dont like scents in the car. Is there a way to test if ioniser works? Sorry if the question is stupid

When will become 11/2023 available by OTA? I contacted BMW in my country with the question if they can push this update because after months I would like to use the ambient air and ioniser. Answer was we can't push updates, you must contact the dealer. But dealers are clueless...

It has been available as OTA for a few months. I think it was late January when it started in Europe but not positive on that.

I haven't received it. My last OTA was 07/2023.
11/2023 has the ambient air fix. So why doesn't BMW push this to affected vehicles

Dealer says fix is probably expected in April while the fix is available for months in 11/2023.
why is everything so tiresome with BMW.

I don’t know how your relationship with your dealer is, but they should be able to upgrade your X5 to the latest available software. Which is currently 03/2024 already. Nothing known about release notes though (would really like to know in more detail what they fix in versions)

Translation: Quality measure for scenters. After installing the software upgrade, the scenting of the passenger compartment can be used to its full extent. This is not possible with the current software version of your vehicle.

In other words the fix is already months available with the 11/2023 update!

Just installed the update over the air on my bmw x5 lci. Seems to work now.

But my spotify app (not apple carplay) is not installed on my car anymore. Also the BMW Assistance option is grayed out as I wanted to contact them to ask why.

Anybody else having the same problem?
