"No, I am not. I swear. I happened to drive by the dealership, so I stopped by.”

So... “have driven by” was changed to “drive by” to match the past simple tense used in the rest of the sentence, " dealership” was preceded by “the” to specify which dealership, comma after “dealership” to separate the clauses.

I get it: I have an apartment in Sicily, saying my Italian needs work would be charitable.

Well...looks like BMW issued a nationwide Stop Sale Order on all F90 LCI onwards! Dealers are sitting on cars they can't sell...

There is a coolant expansion tank issue that BMW are unable to remedy at the moment. The Stop Sale order is preventing customer claims from new owners...

Now you might ask, how come I know this? Not sure the urge was tamed...

At this point the only car I would consider replacing my X5M with is this in either sedan or Touring form

Let me know if you need the number of my therapist. Not that he is able to cure the issue but just in case you need to vent...

Nowadays, every time I tell my wife I'm just going to drive by the dealership, she just looks at me and says "Ok, pick a good color". Sigh....

Interestingly, I found the X5M more aggressive looking and also more fun to drive in the city. The combination of the heavy weight and a higher vehicle makes it just a bit more playful than the no limit point on shoot M5 shotgun...

6 months into it and I couldn't help but start looking at M5's again, wondering if I had made a mistake...

Today, I happened to have parked my X5M next to an F90/M5 and the same emotions that prompted the switch came back as I found the design of the M5 more tame, and dare I say, maybe a bit outdated?

Please help me stick to the X5M!
Have you considered an M8 gran coupe? Not trying to talk you out of your x5m...but it's a great car!

I test drove the M8s, both coupe and GC when I bought this one, was going to say they were great fun to drive. But now I wont. Urges and all that.

In fact, forget I said anything.

The X5M is most of the fun, but quite a bit more practical. The other side was the (even more) massive depreciation; makes leasing unfavorable and buying downright untenable.

The M8 though, it's a notch up in terms of acceleration. The X5M is downright rorty, but just a wee bit short of what I would describe as breathtaking. The M8, is in whoa territory.

I also liked the hard buttons. And no insult to anyone's car, but the X5M isn't all that attractive to me. The M8, particularly the coupe, is a looker. Essentially what I would call the last truly handsome BMW until they change their styling direction.

But, this is my daily driver, I like my daily to say yes as much as possible.
