2019 X5 in Ametrin Metalic?

I just noticed that X5 is now available in Ametrin Metalic at some dealerships in northern VA. How is that possible since online configurator is not yet showing this color as a new option?

Another thread showed a pic of a dark graphite X5 currently in dealer stock I think in NC. That is not u pon the configurer either. Anyway keep the new colors coming the X5 needs them. How about a nice silver??

Explanation is simple, the online configurator is a POS and is always missing stuff, half broken or has broken rules, better to use the Dealer pricing order guide (available on one of the stickies I think).

Ametrin Metallic has been available to be built as of 4/1/19 so if the dealer ordered in early April, they would have it by now, Dark Graphite is also SOP 4/19 so have been available as of the first day of April for production.

We got Donnie Isley as our pro driver. He is very funny and what he can do with a car is pretty amazing.

Don't like it looks better in any other color

I feel like I saw you asking about this on other posts, but I was at Weatherford BMW and they have one on the lot. Take this with plenty of salt, as all my cars are Mineral White Metallic, Black, or LeMans Blue, but the Ametrin is not my favorite. Tried to get a few angles, it's next to an Arctic Grey and CB. Was about 7pm when we finished our BMW business, so the color temperature on the color may be a little cool

I'm feeling this colour, I think it would look great with black trim and a little sunlight, the X7 on YouTube looks amazing...

My local dealer (Motorwerks BMW in Bloomington MN) had at least three X5s in Ametrin, including two in the showroom and one outside. The color is interesting, but a bit too purple IMO. Definitely nice to see colors outside of black, white, and grey, though.

They also had an X5 in the showroom in Tanzanite Blue. Although the color is a bit dark, I liked it and I think it would look great in bright sunlight.

Available as an individual color in 2019, and retained in 2020; just ordered one for spouse, full Shadowline trim, M Sport. Ruby Black was deleted in 2020 however....
