Air suspension creaking/groaning sound
I have noticed (and some others have complained here) that always when you lower the air suspension when stopped, it makes an intermittent creaking or groaning sound -- not loud but slightly annoying and 'un-premium'. About a week ago, when playing with the lever, I realized that the sound is the same that the brakes sometimes make when slipping (if you press the pedal too lightly). So I put the gear in P, took my foot off the brakes and tried again. This time, no sound at all. During the past week I have tried it again numerous times in different places and no sound anymore
For some reason, the AS lowers first the front and then the rear. In my thinking, that makes the distance between the axles first increase and then decrease very slightly, requiring the brakes to slip a bit and thus causing the sound. Anyway, I am happy with the sound gone -- let us know if it's different for you. |

There is a logical reason that the air suspension lowers from front then back and raised in reverse order from back to front.
It's to avoid dazzling of oncoming traffic.
