OTA never worked

I have a 22 G05 M50i. First update was done at service to 7.2022 last year. Never got notifications on my app. Now I still havent got 11.2022 or the 3.2023 notifications. Any way to force the phone to check for updates? Will any coding prevent it from working? Just use BimmerCode for a few things. Is there a way to use Esys to manually update?

You don’t need the phone for updates. You can check for remote updates in the iDrive menu. I wouldn’t worry about it though. There’s nothing new in the last 2 updates for OS7. Only changes for LCI it seems.

PSA - people need to start scrutinizing updates beyond 2022 as well if they do coding. Don’t rush just to be on latest and “greatest”. More and more secure coding updates are showing up, mainly the new vehicles but it seems BMW could enable that if they want to in older vehicles via update which would disable ability to code non-factory settings.
