I'm not a fan either.

To me it almost looks like they put their own bumper on a Porsche Macan.

These days with torquey turbocharged engines and rampant underrating, advertised peak horsepower is fairly meaningless.

The X5 does 0-60 in 5s. That's pretty fast for an SUV. I'll bet you dollars to donuts the Lincoln can't do it any faster and will likely be a couple tenths slower.
Yes I did mean the Aviator. I really don't want to do a American vehicle. Frankly think Detroit makes junk. Of course the X5 is not German made either. Agreed does not have the badge cachet- but of course that's why BMW is making a mint on their SUV's. And can make features that should be standard options. True on the acceleration, would have to add the Aviator is a little larger/roomier/heavier than the X5 however.

I think with how powerful they've made the base engine, they figure that anyone who really wants to step up to the V8 will most likely want an M Sport model with performance bits on it. It wasn't too long ago where V8s were making in the 300hp range. And that's naturally aspirated power where you'd really have to wind the engine out.

Also, the advertised power numbers are 335hp vs 523hp. Remember the M50i uses the new V8 from the M850i. So we're talking nearly a 200hp gap here. Considering that, $15k seems like a steal. People routinely spend more money for less power.
True - that's why I can't write the M50i off!

Yup, that's my problem. Only partial remedy is wait until the deals improve & incentives kick in. My plan anyway to deny BMW as much profit as possible.

Disagree, not interested in inheriting someone else's problems.

Not sure I understand where you are headed. The X7 had the luxury and giant size my wife likes, but handles much better than her GLS.
