2024 X5 M60i Pure Frozen Grey

Finally arrived after building it out a hundred times. Very happy with the result. Color was worth the wait. Went with Ivory interior and Anthracite-Brown Matte trim.

Very nice. Do you mind posting some more pics of both exterior and interior? I was and still debating on this color and tried searching the forum and couldn't find anything. Thanks for posting.

Thanks Nick7700 I had the same issue when deciding on this paint. You can find a good amount of the new X7's in Frozen Pure Grey but very few X5s. I am new to the forum and am not seeing an obvious way to reply and attach photos. Do I need to make a completely new post? Maybe delete this one and create a new one with several pics. Let me know and I'll do it. Thanks

Thanks VicsBMW. That combo is gorgeous. I ordered the X6 M60i in IOMG with Ivory white interior. Does it look matte to how does it look in the sun light?

Nick7700 Thanks I am super happy with it. Turns a lot of heads even though it isn't the X5M. That green is going to do so even more I would imagine. Yes its not a dull matte in the sun, has a very subtle sheen on it, show off the lines a little more. I'll get a direct sunshine pic here soon and post it. Now trying to decide on PPF or ceramic coat or just leaving it. A whole other topic

Congrats. Very unique color. If you plan to own it 3+ years I’d get it PPFed although it can get very expensive.

I'm awaiting delivery of the LCI X6M in December and was split between frozen pure grey/shakir interior and all black that I usually order. It's very hard to find a frozen pure grey anything on the streets here in Vienna, but I eventually did spot a new X1 in that color and it's just mesmerizing in person.

Needless to say, I went with grey. Can't wait for delivery. Very unique color! Congrats!

congrats to you both! I also second getting matte ppf installed over it. it will retain a uniformity over time that frozen paint won’t due to protection. frozen paint doesn’t allow for paint correction, touch-ups, etc.

mine is almost 3y old without peeling or yellowing. I apply a ceramic top coat once a year too

Very nice nZtiZia I am torn on PPF. I've been quoted nearly $10,000 for a full wrap, which is ridiculous. I've been told if you only wrap specific panels there will be a noticeable difference on where you have PPF and where you don't, especially with matte/stealth. I live in Florida, no salt or snow, just rock chips and bugs. I will most likely keep it for 3 years, maybe 4. For $10,000 I can order several frozen front bumpers and change them out every year if it bothers me that much.

Regarding ceramic coating, this would help retain the finish I'm assuming, not with tiny impacts from little rocks and pebbles flying at 70 mph. Is this true? I park in a garage at home and at work, so it isn't outside baking all day everyday. Drive 15k a year. Thanks

thanks!

when folks inquire here about getting frozen, I usually recommend a glossy paint followed by matte ppf, but you and Chris had already purchased. that is a beautiful color BTW

true, ceramic coating won’t prevent rock chips. it acts as a barrier against things chemical in nature (bird poop, tree sap, etc) and aids in maintenance due to hydrophobic properties. (there is ceramic coating for matte paints.)

Was the color discontinued? Can't find it on the BMW Individual page. The only "frozen" (matte) option is the black.

A CA told me that Frozen Pure Gray will be a $3600 option for MY25
