Most say the LCI has improved on the suspension and not as harsh as previous models…

Perhaps the tires are different? Or maybe just you? 🤷🏽‍♂️

Personally having owned pre lci x5m and now lci. I feel suspension is little softer on LCI

Our lci x5m is my wife’s daily driver I have multiple variations of x5 in our family and actually tried to convince my wife to downgrade to m60i but she would not have it Her words “ suspension sucks on all of them. Ride and handling is so much better on x5m”

Yet she drives her ride in the most neutered mode possible.

Came from 2021 x6mc and now on 2024 x6mc and the 2024 is definitely more rough. Same bumps in my neighborhood but harder. This was before and after the MSS suspension install.

Something something about this right that's got me scratching my head my 2021 and my 2022 were a little bit smoother or yeah I didn't feel as many of the bumps I guess cause this car drives Hell a good sometimes and then I feel all the bumps at other times I'm thinking of maybe going KW Has Suspension and I think I have to get it aligned after the front end. Hopefully it runs better more planted after that. Thanks for your comment

Currently driving rsq8 and awaiting 2024 x6 m lci. When i made a test drive to x5 m lci(equipped with 21 all around michelin alpin 5) i found the ride to be very comfortable and smooth.Compared to my Audi which is with ccb and lightweight wheels(which made a noticeable improvement on the comfort) the bmw ride quality felt same or better.Probably the tires and 21 wheels on the back helped a little, but it looks like bmw had made a great job on the suspension. Also if you need more comfort lightweight wheels will improve a lot.My audi felt harsh for me at the begining, but after the new wheels(10 lb per corner lighter) which were 23 like oem the ride was perfect.

Another LA X5MC owner. I came close to getting the Brooklyn Grey on mine. What tires did it come with? The Michelin or the Pirelli? On my 21 X5MC the ride felt a little more rough and it had the Michelin. My 24 X5MC came with Pirelli and it definitely feels smoother.

When I switch over to my winter tires (on the OEM 21/22 staggered setup), Michelin Alpin's, the ride is MUCH smoother. It's very noticeable.

The summer tires will be quite harsh in the spring when it's cold (Not sure if this is applicable in LA), and whenever the tires are inflated into the 40s+ psi. 36 seems to be the sweet spot for comfort, but if you take your car to high speeds you need the tires inflated to the recommended value.

^That has been my experience thus far with my winter tires, which are still on. A bit better ride than the summer tires. Which I cant wait to put back on, but not ready for the stiffer ride...oh, well, I still enjoy this beast not matter what...

I also suspect tirepressure can be main cource.

I can make you a cold pressure/axleload-list for your tires, with build in maximum reserve, at wich comfort and gripp is still acceptable.
For that I give 90% of calculated axleload capacity for the cold psi or bar, for max speed 160kmph/99mph.

Then you " ONLY" have to determine the axleloads in your use 99 % acurate, the most tricky part, and your responcibility.

For that I need next from tires.
1. Maximum load or loadindex.
2. Kind of tire to determine the reference-pressure,( SL or XL P-tire, LT loadrange or better pressure behind AT given.
3. Speedcode, less important, shal be Q or above, for wich maxload is given for 160kmph/99mph.

If you then also give GAWR's and GVWR, empty weight, and way you load it, I can dangerously estimate the axleloads.

It came with the Perrellis Pzeros , I'm kind of mixed on these two tires I used to like the Michelin more and then I like the Pzeros cause they last little bit longer Michelin is a lot softer I'm not sure if I should just drop the pressure down a little little bit on my P zeros

I've had both tires on my X5M and the ride different between the two is minor. Michelin rides slightly better but its not worth switching to them if you are looking for better comfort.

Thanks

You’ll only be able to adjust the toe on the front.
For camber, you’ll need to get G05 Upper Control Arm.

Also, I do recommend MSS over KW HAS.
I’ve installed a few KW HAS, when I drove it around the block, it is bouncy and the car feels loose.
