X5 50e discounts?
Hi,
I put down my deposit on March 9th for a fully loaded 50e. I just got the call that I finally have a production spot (Yay!) I was being quite impatient waiting for my turn, and I ended up calling almost all dealers in upstate NY to see if I could speed up my spot. My dealership had 11 people in line for a 50e (I was 4th on that line as of last week), and another dealer I called told me that I could join their line too however they had 5 people ahead of me for a 50e. Every where I called it was the same story.... I was reading on a reddit post someone saying they got 10% off the MSRP for a 50e. Here is my question - Do you think this guy is lying? Is anyone actually getting this car for under MSRP and if so how are you doing it? I personally can't imagine any dealer selling this car for under MSRP when it's probably one of their most in-demand cars. thoughts? |

I got my 50e ordered here in Europe at 19% off MSRP, but things work different here, as prices ar absurdely higher than in the USA.
From what I can read in this forum, discounts on 50e's in the states are very little or none, maybe 2-3% off.

Thanks for the reassurance. When I put my deposit down, I was assuming I was paying MSRP. The dealer did give me $500 off, however I am not expecting more than that. MSRP doesn't break the bank but I didn't want to feel like a sucker if people are getting this car for 10k less. 2-3% isn't worth my time arguing.

Most are at MSRP, or even higher, since production/allocations have been extremely limited. I would imagine broadening your shopping area or using a broker may get you a discount but may not be worth there trouble.

I got 4k off in Bay Area on MY 2025, a little under 5pct. Dealer just said it should be End July.
Didn't bother shopping around since seemed fair on brand new model. |

Absolutely no one should pay MSRP. You could get $2k off without really even trying. If you embarrassed to ask, that’s a different matter. The car is in high demand but I was offered $1500 off that I said no to. Asking for 7% off which I doubt I will get but they mentioned that they have end of month deals to make. I am in New England. Will see how it goes.

Placed order for X550e on Feb 28th, managed to get 6.5 % off MSRP. I did have to negotiate a decent amount and went to dealer twice + a few phone calls. I am located in South Florida.

No reason for anyone to pay MSRP - there is room for a deal.
I just got $7105 in dealer discounts plus $4K Navy Federal discount in metro DC. That turns out to be 8.78% in dealer discount and 13.72% of MSRP overall. The June allocation build was a custom order 2025 XDrive40I with m sport package, mineral white, premium package, m professional package, parking assistance package, climate package, massage seats, and tow hitch, spare. Shop around to you get a good deal on paper. Once you get it in writing, shop around the estimate with other dealers. There are deals. Some will give you BS in they have tight margins but that's not the case. |

In my case, I decided PHEV is not worth the additional price for my lifestyle. Maybe the tech will catch up with more time, but for now, its just not for me. |

The 40i and 50e might look the same but they are far, far away from being the same vehicle.
