Tire size help please

Hey friends,

Brand new to BMW! Just bought a 2020 X5 xdrive40i. I live in Colorado and the vehicle came from Arizona. It currently has the staggered 21 set up with summer tires.

My question is, can I run a 255/45/20 squared set up with winter tires? I know it’s not the oe recommended size. Will it hurt anything if I run these? I am a bit cash poor after Christmas, buying the car outright and 1300 in repairs right after buying.

Buying new aftermarket wheels and winter tires will run me about 2800. I can grab the tire and wheels in the picture for 1500 or less.

Any help is truly appreciated!!!

because of the size difference:
1) your actual speed will be about 3mph less than what your speedometer shows
2) verify the tire’s 105 load rating is safe for use on the 40i

do those wheels have a 5x112 bolt pattern?
