Just picked up a 2024 Brooklyn Grey X5 40i x-drive for my wife. Debadged it this afternoon and finally went through all of the settings to configure for her and my profiles. This is our first BMW so the tech learning curve was more than expected, but not bad.

She drives it most of the time alone, but when the family is together, I typically drive. Still trying to figure out mobile phone priorities and which to set for bluetooth, carplay, etc. but getting there...

Would like to get another set of wheels (22"s) in black but not an immediate need.

Windows were tinted today (20% sides, 50% on windshield). Also had the orange side markers by the front fender smoked. Looks so much better now.

Very tidy looking X5! You'll enjoy the comfort of those 20" wheels. I know I am after coming off 21" wheels on my previous X5.

Thank you! We live in the midwest and winters can be brutal weather-wise. I wanted 21s or 22s but didn't want the performance/summer tires and there wasn't an all-season option other than the 20"s. I'd love to get black rims for the X5 as I think they just look nicer with the Brooklyn Grey/M-Sport packages...eventually

My dad has the 21s on his and it's just not my favorite wheels... at all. The 22s are a different story but I was tired after my F15 eating through $2K+ worth of tires every 10K miles. Happy I got the 20" wheels on my G05. The Pirelli tires have been wonderful.

Congrats! Looking really good… love BK! The tint and smoked reflectors make it look so much better.

Did you order it with the trailer hitch or did it come off the lot with it? I had to order mine as virtually none of the dealer cars had it. Mine will be one of the last of the 2023 builds.

We speced it with the trailer hitch and the dealer already had the car on order. They actually had 3 other similarly speced vehicles on order that all arrived within a week or two of each other. 2 had the hitch (1 Brooklyn/ 1 Skyscraper) and 2 did not (1 Brooklyn/ 1 Skyscraper). We did not have a problem finding lower speced X5s with hitches either. Maybe try some other dealers?

I checked the 1 local dealer (they have 2 locations) and the 2 dealerships within an hour drive of me and in the 4 stores 2 vehicles had a hitch. One salesman said because it deletes the kick-to-open tailgate feature they rarely order them with the hitch.
