New M50i - PCD 28 days away!

Car just flew through the production steps and is sitting in QC. Can't wait to go get it! Not sure what I'm most excited about (first vacation in 14 months, first night away from the baby in 11 months, or the new car).

Can I ask - what did you learn about the lag time from when the car is finished to when you get to do the PCD? The reason I ask, here on the west coast, once the car is finished, it can take another month to load on the train, transit the country and get delivered to your dealer. If I can get the PCD date, and then drive the car home in a week, I save 3 weeks of waiting, which, to me is a lot of time.
But I have heard you may wait 2-3 weeks just to get into the PCD after completion which would negate any time savings.

I responded to this question from you in another thread a moment ago - let me know if you didn't see it. If you have a more detailed question/follow up PM me.

PS - You don't do PCD for the time savings you do it for the experience - OH and it's is worth it! (and in your case if your schedule is flexible I bet you'll at least break even on time too as PCD isn't as busy as normal due to COVID travel restrictions)

Fantastic!

Hope you can post a write up review of your PCD experience.

We're or mainly I'm counting down the days to final production (next week) and PCD on 4 May. Travel plans all made and ready to roll.

Thursday the 21st - I'm planning to make a small trip up 25/276 to Blue Ridge Parkway and take a little detour down that for some site seeing before heading on to Louisville for a couple of days then home.

Not really. Since I’ve never done PCD I just like to hear about different people’s perspective on PCD.
