My BMW journey
My BMW journey:
My car build: -2021 X5 45e Xdrive -Xline -Manhattan green metallic exterior -Canberra beige Vernasca leather interior -Anthracite brown poplar matte finish wood trim -19” V spoke wheels, all season run-flat -Parking assistance package -Premium package (Lost Harman Kardon audio system, but got it back 2 weeks later and I have it) -Luxury seating package (ventilated front seats and massage function in front seats) -The hybrid comes standard with Air Suspension so I did not have to stress about losing the AS. My deal (I am located in South Florida and ordered with a South Florida dealership, who matched the price from Global Imports from Atlanta): Total MSRP with destination included $73,345 Discount $7,310 (9.97%) BMW FS rebate $2,500 (0.9% APR) Taxes, fees, tags, etc $5,620 Total price of the car: $69,155 My time line (started to look for the car in beginning of January): 02-18 ordered the car 02-25 order received 03-19 scheduled for production Week 15, Apr 05-Apr 10 03-31 production begins 04-15 entering assembly line 04-15 awaiting carrier assignment 04-16 dispatched from factory 04-19 arrived at dealership 04-20 car in the garage I followed the build in BMW site , in MyGarage, but also called Genius line at 844 443 6487 (just once a week, on Mondays). -I installed an ChargePoint level 2 charger (Nema 14-50 plug, in case I want to move it on a plug). Bought in on Amazon. It is hardwired installed, with 4 AWG wires on a 70 amps breaker. Thank you all for your help and your advice! First time I walked into the dealership, they told me their sad stories and how they can not offer more than a 2% discount. I went home, signed up on couple of forums and did my homework. Yes, a lot of reading, calculus, phone calls and emails, but that translates to a lot of savings. Totally worth it! Good luck to you all, stay safe and drive safe!
