Are you still getting discounts on MSRP?

Are you guys still seeing discounts of 10% + on new? ive been searching for a x5 m50i and had 6 dealers tell me msrp is best they can do because of supply chain issues creating low inventory, even my own dealer who i leased a 440 gc from that is coming up for turn in. one dealer said 1500 over invoice but that only was a 6% discount. and then a broker told me no discounts to be had right now cause of reduced inventories and that 10%+ discounts are over. Fwiw ive been shopping the california and oregon markets as I am in california. thought even a middle america dealer told me the same.

I live in the DFW Tx area and I didn't have any luck working my own lease deal. I decided to go through a broker and he got me 9% discount before $2500 incentives on new build 21 X6 XDrive. The kicker is it was an out of state dealer so I will have to pay transportation costs and a broker fee. My local dealers wouldn't touch the offer my broker was making. My has been receive by BMW since 1/23. I'm just waiting on a VIN and build date. You might want to consider that if you do not mind paying a broker fee and transportations cost. Food for thought. Good luck!

Looks like you are in the Bay Area. I will PM you. I think you should be able to get 6-8% but agree that supply is pretty limited right now.

just tried a dealer in Virginia yesterday. 96,600 msrp on the lot and only willing to go to 90,505 which already includes loyalty and usaa discounts. So take those away and its 4.5% discount off msrp.

anyone willing to share a dealer where they got 10%, as i would be willing to order new if that is what it took.

I don't see 10%+ in CA. 8-10% should still be achievable though, but you may have to wait as any Covid hesitancy seems over and supply really is low right now.

I got $6k discount, $3250 USAA, and $2500 BMW from BMW of Silver Spring (MD) - how'd you pull $3500?

I'm waiting on a target build date and doing the "experience" since it's less than a 2 hour flight, and I'll be getting my 2nd dose of the vaccine in 2 1/2 weeks. Hoping to get the date this week!

Loyalty incentive is 1000 on the top of 2500 APR credit, total 3500.

Initially I lost Loyalty as I didn't own a BMW last year, had conquest Audi but didn't work either.. Employer had a discount and got me back in same numbers finally.

Tomorrow is my delivery day!!!

I got about 8% but had to order from a dealer a few hours away (I’m in SoCal). My local dealer wouldn’t touch it.

PM me if you need the info

I got 7.5% off MSRP on an M50i before incentives in NJ. Called 8 dealerships across the country searching for a specific color combo. Best I got was 7 (in St Louis) and 7.5% (in NJ). Most places told me they wouldn't even be able to match that. Claiming production halts in Germany and some with limited inventory of the m50s. Doesn't seem to be the same discounts people were getting back in 2020 (at least from what I found). Was still happy with the price, and absolutely loving the ride.

I ended up at just under 10% including incentives w/ free delivery (600 miles) on an M50i... but no one in Arkansas/Texas/Oklahoma would come even close to that.

Was able t get 9% off + incentives for a build in December - built and delivered a few weeks ago. Not sure about shortages?? My dealer is high volume so had an allocation and car was built and delivered in about 3-3.5 weeks. That was on a lease with base MF as well (.00082 at the time). Discount off of MSRP isn’t the only part of the deal.

Went to three local dealers. Second wouldn’t go anywhere near that discount. Third matched and better trade and experience so went with them.

I received a screaming good deal from a local dealer in the Bay Area on an order placed in December for a 45e. Admittedly, the same deal would not be achievable today given ongoing supply issues. That said, my SA is easy to deal with, and would still likely be the best price in the Bay area. He's also a straight shooter. We liked dealing with him so much that we also purchased a new 330e from him 2 days after placing the order for the X5.

I don't understand why this is, but most SAs in the Bay Area don't bother with people who ask for pricing in line with current market trends. This SA is different. He took our offer seriously, went to his management, and came very close to the best figures I was seeing on this forum for west coast dealers with no drama. Hence, I pulled forward my next purchase by a few months and rewarded him with a second, stock unit sale, 2 days later.

In the past, my experience in shopping local dealers was soooooo bad that in frustration, I ended up purchasing several new cars outside the region. Now that this relationship has been established, I hope to not need to do that again on another BMW.

PM me if you want the contact.

Just picked up my 40i factory order after an almost 2.5 month wait. I was able to get 10% off pre-incentives but those deals are long gone. My advisor said the best he can now do is 8% off.

If anybody is happy with 8% off in SoCal, I can share details via pm.
