Good luck!
I'm in DFW.... do you mind sharing the info for broker and cost breakdown?

I don't see 10% happening unless you're close to baseline. The dealerships I worked with gave $6k off MSRP across the board before incentives, which came out to just shy of 8% on mine. YMMV - this was DMV/DC Metro area.

This is why I suggest the 45e to everyone: with the $7500 tax credit, my $78.4k build (after destination) came out to $59.1k.

That's just a hair under 25% off MSRP...and ya know, you're getting 25-100% better MPG and more power. (With a slight weight problem but I haven't noticed the diff).

Well PHEV is not for everyone, it makes sense for those people who can charge the vehicle overnight can upgrade to level 2 charger and have a daily run of something under 30 miles. For some one like me who lives in a city in high rises and usually have runs of more than 150 miles it doesn't works. Most of the time I would be carrying dead weight and i have my sedans for 5 miles runs to work. I just bought 2021 40i with out of the door price tag of 84k at 73k after discounts. That 7500 tax credit was lucrative but I didn't want to get tied up with a battery which I would not be able to keep charged regularly on most of my trips.

I think that's an overly specific use case you're targeting. My commute (when I have to go in) is well over 30 miles round-trip and I don't have an L2 charger yet, but the mpge I'm getting is just silly with overnight charging on a standard outlet. (12-13 hrs from 0%, so it just makes it to full if I plug it in when I get home)

@ the performance delivery center, I asked and the instructors clarified that the impacts of the added weight are very slightly increased stopping distance (that was my concern but it's irrelevant short of something like racing/etc. apparently) and the mpg hit...which is N/A unless you never charge it and drive primarily highway - which is possible, but I would say probably an outlier case.

It's obviously not for everyone, but demographically, most people buying the X5 have easy access to at least a home 110V plug - so it logically follows that it would be the smarter choice more often than not.

Granted, we don't always make the most sensible choices and that's perfectly fine - I have about 20 previous vehicles and multiple ex-wives that are testaments/can attest to that.

Hi All, just placed an order for a X5 45e last weekend and was only able to get 6.8% off MSRP in the Northern NJ area. We will be financing the minimum amount at .9% to get the $2500, plus $1000 for loyalty and $500 for USAA. Worked with three dealers within a 20 mile radius and got three very different deals and responses. One dealer wouldn’t stack the USAA deal with the loyalty discount. One dealer gave us a really good discount off MSRP and then wouldn’t return my calls/emails until we found out the Manager squashed the deal and came back with the worst offer. We ended up staying with the dealer that we have bought all of our BMW’s and generally have had a good experience with. Besides an known entity, they are also the most convenient so that’s worth something. Checked the order today and the $250 Heated steering wheel package had been added. The CA said “Merry Christmas”. They also gave us a decent trade-in on our Highlander Hybrid so we are pretty happy overall.

Anyone in the FL area was able to get 10% before rebate? My biggest issue is with our 540 lease, which is not due until 8/2022, but my wife wants X5 40i now lol. But so far all the local places I called can't make any deals, and they are quoting outrageous numbers. If we can't find a good deal, told her to wait another year. I am also open to picking up from VA, NC, GA and SC.

Except in a few rare circumstances, 10% off seems unobtainable in the current conditions. Since you are will to pick it up, you can do PCD and buy from any dealer. As a starting point, try GOLFFRR 's place (just search for a post by him to get the contact info) as well as Jon Shafer (founder of "the other" BMW forum).

FL brokers on the leasehackr are offering 10% pre incentives all day long on x40is. After accounting for their fee the deal would still be slightly above 9% off and better yet, since you're willing to pickup from nearby states, they can hook you up with a dealer who doesn't charge ridiculous $899-$999 in doc fees as is the norm in Florida.

Also, I know someone suggested Jon Schafer and Golfrr, my experience with both was pretty different. They are super nice and upfront guys but wouldn't touch below invoice deals so I highly doubt you'll get anything good from them, especially considering you're in FL so will have to get it shipped or pay additional for courtesy delivery at local dealer. YMMV ofcourse.

Hi m20e3087.
Try Global Imports Atlanta. They offered 10% right of the bat (the name of the dealer is James Starr 770-261-6429).
They might still offer the same deals. Worth a phone call.

Hi all. Can those in the Bay Area PM me your contacts? I'm in Sacramento and looking to get into a 2021 40i. Went to my local BMW dealer today and asked them for a price, which was 1.5% below MSRP.

IMO you're going about the process the wrong way. If you ask a dealer for their price, you're already starting behind in the game.

You want to make an offer to the dealer, not the other way round. The best way to do that is to understand what pre incentive discount you should be shooting for (10% should be achievable in NorCal albeit with some legwork) and making sure that you get buy rate (money factor for leases/straight finance rate for finance).

I totally agree Mike. I just wanted to see where this particular dealership would start...knowing it will be a low-ball starting offer. Another local dealership right off the bat said 6% off MSRP and i'm waiting on another to see if they could do 8%.

Have you tried using a broker? I avoided it for the longest time until I just didn't like what was being presented by dealers. I caved and used their services and got into the spec I wanted and then some.

I'm in Roseville and don't bother with the dealers here, it is a weird market and they must think everyone is too dumb to go out of the area and they price accordingly.

I would definitely recommend the SCAL dealers already mentioned (I've used several in the last 20 years for new/used purchases) and work out the delivery/pickup logistics later. It's more than worth it!!

Yeah, i'm working with Concord BMW right now.

Interestingly, when my wife e-mailed Roseville BMW, their first quote was 6% off MSRP and after another round of emails they said 8%. If I continued to push, I might have been able to get 9 or 10% to get it off their lot. However, I decided rather than compromise on some of the options I really wanted to get, i'm gonna build the X5 exactly how I want with one of their allocations.

I've heard similar about Niello in Sac/Elk Grove but each time I asked Roseville BMW for a new quote it was always "exactly" $2,500 more than the popular SCAL dealers and they wouldn't budge....maybe it's different now? Similarly, their used cars were also overpriced, I've found. Heck, the CPO 2016 535 I have now I bought in LA in 2019 and had shipped up.

I would suggest that all order their 3 year leased X5's with a custom color like Melbourne Red, Lime Rock Grey, Techno Violet along with M-Sport, HK, blackout and of course the HITCH (so I can swoop on it in 3 years!)
